From the SAL Commander
December is upon us and we will all be hustling and bustling to get in all the holiday cheer we can manage in the next
month. Pleas remember this holiday season that there are veterans who are in need; some without basic necessities such
as food and clothing and others who need us to reach out and remind them that they matter. There are several
organizations in the area that are holding fund raisers, clothing and food drives and will give you the opportunity to
spend some time with a veteran in need. I urge you to take a few moments this holiday season to give back to those
who gave so much to us.
The Veteran’s Day program was a success and well attended. I want to thank each of you who came and helped out.
We have seven members who have reached a milestone with the SAL. They have been members for 25 years. I would
like to take a moment to acknowledge them.
Rick Colburn; Glen Lockhart; Bruce Rogers; Pat Huver; Al Nickels; Don Spaulding; Archie Warner.
Thank you for all you have contributed to the SAL over the years. We appreciate it. I would love to see you gentleman
at the next meeting. The SAL will even buy you a burger.
Our Meat Bundle Raffle winner will be drawn on December 12th at the SAL meeting. You do not need to be present to
win. There is still time to get your tickets, see the bartender. Tickets are 1 for $1 and 6 for $5
It’s that time again; See JR to renew your SAL membership.
Bingo has concluded for the season. Thank you to all who volunteered. Thank you to all who came out to play. You
are the reason Bingo is such a success. We look forward to seeing you again in March.
On a personal note I want to wish each and every one of you a happy, safe and joyous holiday season.
